Play Therapy (Child-Centered Cognitive Play Therapy)
Play is indispensable for every child. When every child is given the chance to express themselves through play, it is the only area where they push their limits the most. Play Therapy is a therapy technique that enables children between the ages of 3-13 to open themselves emotionally and express themselves at the point where they experience certain problems, and as a result, it is based on finding the starting point of the problem.
The aim is for the child to express himself/herself and reach emotional fulfillment. In therapy, the child opens his/her world to the therapist with the toys and materials used. As a result, the specialist becomes a kind of bridge between the family and the child. They try to restore the balance that has been destroyed or disrupted. In this way, families also see how their children feel, that they can have different perspectives and that they expect things that they sometimes do not realize.
